Paste a mailto: URL or an HTML anchor to read its fields and load them into the generator.
Enter one or more To addresses, plus optional CC and BCC recipients separated by commas.
Type the prefilled subject and message. Line breaks, spaces, and symbols are encoded automatically.
Copy the mailto URL, HTML anchor, or Markdown link, then open it in your mail app to confirm the draft looks right.
| Part | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Recipients | mailto:a@example.com,b@example.com | Comma-separated, no spaces. |
| CC / BCC | ?cc=c@example.com&bcc=d@example.com | First parameter uses ?, the rest use &. |
| Subject | &subject=Hello%20there | Spaces are %20, not +. |
| Body | &body=Line%201%0D%0ALine%202 | Line breaks are %0D%0A. |
| HTML | <a href="mailto:...&body=..."> | Escape & as & inside href. |
A mailto link is a URL that starts with mailto: and opens the visitor's default email app with a new message. It can prefill the To, CC, and BCC recipients, the subject line, and the message body.
Add a question mark after the address, then subject= and body= parameters joined with &, for example mailto:hi@example.com?subject=Hello&body=Thanks. Spaces become %20 and line breaks become %0D%0A, which this generator handles for you.
Separate addresses with commas, as in mailto:a@example.com,b@example.com. Use cc= and bcc= for copied recipients. This tool also accepts semicolons or new lines and converts them to commas.
In mailto links, + is a literal plus sign, not a space, so spaces must be encoded as %20. Many mail apps and browsers also truncate links longer than about 2,000 characters, so keep the prefilled body short.
A plain email address in your HTML can be harvested by bots. A mailto link exposes the address the same way, so use a role address such as support@ or a contact form for high-traffic pages.
Point your mailto link at a MailParse inbox and every email that comes back is parsed into clean JSON and delivered to your webhook or REST API.
